'LoL' Live Stream: Watch Today's 'League of Legends' Championship Series Matches Here

We're now in week seven of this summer's North American season three "League of Legends" Championship Series tournament. Six matches are slated to be held today, with the first beginning at 4 p.m. EDT between heavy underdogs Velocity eSports (4-13) against dominant favorites Cloud 9 HyperX (15-2). In head-to-head matches, Cloud 9 HyperX is 2-0 against Velocity eSports.

However, that doesn't tell the whole story. Statistics indicate that throughout the summer Cloud 9 HyperX has averaged more gold than Velocity eSports until recently. Cloud 9 HyperX has also averaged more gold per minute and, also until recently, a higher kill-death average, or KDA. Perhaps Velocity eSports can continue its better play. It will need to to have a chance against Cloud 9 HyperX today.
