Seven months after the closure of the News of the World, Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. is returning to the Sunday tabloid market in the UK with the launch of the new edition of the Sun Feb. 26.

The first Sunday edition of the Sun newspaper will go on sale for 50 pence (79 cents), which is half the price of the News of the World and will feature stories about soccer and celebrities.

The News of the World, founded in 1843, closed as advertisers pulled out following an outcry against reporters who had hacked into mobile phones, including that of a murdered schoolgirl.

Murdoch tweeted Thursday expressing his confidence about the new title: We're completely sold out for advertising!

When the News of the World closed, it was the most popular UK newspaper with 2.67 million readers. I will be very happy at anything substantially over two million! Murdoch posted on his Twitter page.

The Sun will have a section about soccer matches called Super Goals and fashion advice from Nancy Dell'Olio, who was a contestant on TV show Strictly Come Dancing.
