OnePlus One
The OnePlus One drew a lot of interest as much for its specs-to-price benchmark, like rival Xiaomi, as for the sandstone finish of the back cover. Refurbished units of the phone are going on sale in India next week. OnePlus official blog

As the launch of the OnePlus 2 smartphone draws near, online stores in India are looking to take advantage of the buzz around it to promote sales of refurbished stock.

“Unboxed” OnePlus One smartphones will go on sale on shopping site Overcart next week, the Indian e-commerce company said, in a press release on Tuesday. The 16GB version is on offer this time, starting at 12,999 rupees ($205).

Interest in the OnePlus is high, with its high-end specs and mid-range price. In comparison with the refurbished handsets, new OnePlus One phones cost close to 19,000 rupees for the 16GB version.

“This flash sale will feature fewer units as compared to our past sales. We are working with OnePlus authorised refurbishment partners to ensure that every product meets our certification prior to the sale,” Saptarshi Nath, co-founder of Overcart said, in the release.

Registrations are open for the sale on Overcart’s website and the date of the sale, which wasn’t specified in the press release, is to be notified to registered buyers later.

The launch of the OnePlus 2 is set for July 27 and it will be a virtual reality event. OnePlus is sending out Google Cardboard headsets to those willing to pay for shipping. In India, enthusiasts will have to pay an additional 99 rupees.
