U.S. President Barack Obama has been re-elected for a second term, beating former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney on Tuesday night.

Needing 270 electoral votes to win the election, Obama received 303, while Romney accrued 206.

In celebration, on Election night, Obama shared a heartfelt picture of himself hugging First Lady Michelle Obama, along with the caption, “Four more years.” The tweet quickly become the most popular tweet of all time, according to mediabistro.com, after it was re-tweeted over half a million times.

“Tonight in the election, you the American people reminded us that while our road has been hard, while or journey has been long, we have picked ourselves up, we have fought our way back and we know in our hearts that for the United States of America the best is yet to come,” Obama told his supporters in Chicago during his victory speech.

President Obama was not the only one celebrating his Election night victory on Twitter. Katy Perry wrote, “The people have the power! Proud to stand by you for four more years,” after Obama tweeted to his followers, “This happened because of you. Thank you.”

Avid supporter Eva Longoria wrote, “Amazing speech by @BarackObama re-elected for his 2nd term! America is and can be united for the greater good of all Americans!

Lady Gaga wrote, “I just got off the stage in Columbia!! Congratulations Mr. President @BarackObama We are so proud to be an American tonight! Yes!! Yes! Yes!!”

Meanwhile, one of Obama’s main critics, Donald Trump, said, “Our country is now in serious and unprecendented trouble ... like never before.”
