The top pre-market NASDAQ stock market gainers are: Urban Outfitters, Diamond Foods, Netflix, Arena Pharma, DryShips and Clearwire. The top pre-market NASDAQ stock market losers are: ProShares UltraPro Short and Amazon.

Gainers:

Urban Outfitters, Inc. (NASDAQ:URBN) shares gained 10.54 percent, or $2.79, to $29.25 after it said in a regulatory filing that retail segment same-store sales were up in the mid-single digits so far in the fourth quarter.

Shares of Diamond Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ:DMND) rose 5.08 percent, or $1.59, to $32.89 after Wellington Management increased its holdings in the company, according to an amended SEC filing on Monday. The filing indicates that Wellington now holds 3.0 million or 13.6 percent of Diamond Foods, up from the 0.3 million shares it previously reported.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) advanced 4.50 percent, or $3.39, to $78.65 after rumors that Verizon, Inc. (NYSE:VZ) may bid for the company.

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARNA) edged up 3.20 percent, or 7 cents, to $2.26.

DryShips, Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) gained 3.08 percent, or 7 cents, to $2.34.

Clearwire Corp. (NASDAQ:CLWR) shares rose 1.88 percent, or 4 cents, to $2.17

Losers:

Shares of ProShares UltraPro Short QQQ (NASDAQ:SQQQ) were down 2.15 percent, or 42 cents, to $19.10

Shares of Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) dropped 0.5 percent, or 97 cents, to $188.55.
