It appears that Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White will make good on his bet with fan Dylan Hoyt.

Last week, White told Hoyt, a Falcons fan, on Twitter that he’d give him season tickets on the 50-yard line if Mercer University managed to pull off an upset victory over Duke in the NCAA tournament. Sure enough, Mercer won the game, but White attempted to back out of the bet, citing the NFL’s ban on gambling. White’s initial tweets regarding the bet can be viewed below.

White’s attempt to ignore the bet generated a good deal of criticism on Twitter, and it appears that White was listening to his critics. On Friday, Hoyt told TMZ Sports that White will provide him with a pair of season tickets, a pre-game sideline pass to any Falcons home game as well as a pair of tickets to Super Bowl XLIX in Arizona, ESPN reports.

“He’s a great guy,” Hoyt told TMZ Sports. “It wouldn’t have mattered if he didn’t pull through, but this is a dream come true.”

Hoyt will also attend Falcons training camp as White’s personal guest, where he’ll get the chance to meet the star wide receiver’s teammates. In an interview with ESPN, White said that Hoyt’s easygoing attitude regarding the bet drove him to follow through on his promise.

“I’m a man of integrity and definitely a man of my word, and the kid is a great kid,” White told ESPN.com. “We have talked about it for days while people were just speculating.”

“And being a father, you have to be responsible for your actions,” he added. “I have always been a ‘say what you do and do what you say’ type of guy. And I wanted to add some incentives because he was so cool.”
