With so many reported sightings of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in recent weeks, it’s hard to believe that reports about the next Galaxy Note must still be considered rumors. However, the latest news pushes the device a lot closer to confirmation. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has reportedly been certified in Indonesia, indicating that the device is in fact on its way to release.

The Note 3 and its model number, SM-N900, have been discovered in a filing for POSTEL Indonesia, a certification body in the South Pacific country. According to the July 4 filing, the Note 3 is certified in Korea, China and Vietnam. The filing gives no other information about the Note 3. However, many are certain this sighting is confirmation of the device.

Prior Sightings

This news about the Note 3 follows similar sightings. Recently, the device was discovered in India’s Zauba database, which indicated that the Note 3 in varying model numbers was imported from Korea to India for research and development. Many consider that some of the model numbers, SM-N900T, SM-N900A, SM-N900V and SM-N900S, coincide with the Note 3 releasing on the AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint networks, respectively.

Prior to that, the Note 3 showed up on Samsung’s User Agent Profiles under the model numbers SM-N900T and SM-N900A, indicating that the Note 3 will have a 5.7-inch 1080p Full HD display.

The Note 3 and its model numbers have also been seen on the Samsung Kazakhstan website as well as Samsung’s main website. Even without a confirmation from Samsung, the Note 3 seems much to present to not be real.

Currently, rumors expect the Note 3 to be unveiled on Sept. 4 during the preview days of the IFA Expo in Berlin. Among its rumored specs are a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera and the Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean operating system.

New Nexus 7 Also Certified

Meanwhile, the new Nexus 7 was also discovered in POSTEL Indonesia filings, which has also been taken as confirmation of the device. Similarly, the new Nexus 7 remains shrouded in rumors despite several sightings at the FCC and an internal specs leak from and Asus representative, among many other reports.

The new Nexus 7 is supposed to be a spec-upgraded version of the first-generation Nexus 7, which was popular due to its high quality and low price tag. Reports indicate that the Wi-Fi version of the new Nexus 7 will sell for the same $199.99 price as its original, while versions upgraded with LTE capability will cost a bit more.

The new Nexus 7 is also rumored for a late July release in conjunction with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. Among its rumored specs are a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset or the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, a 7-inch 1980 x 1200 LED display, 2GB of RAM and internal storage up to 32GB of ROM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.2-megapixels front camera, LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, NFC connectivity and a 3950mAh battery.
