“Sex and the City” star Willie Garson just threw shade at co-star Kim Cattrall after the actress recently declined to be a part of a possible third installment.

On his Twitter account, Garson, who played the role of Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) friend, Standford Blanch, hinted on the possibility that Cattrall wasn’t being 100 percent truthful about her statements. The actress previously said that she wasn’t interested to reprise her role as Samantha Jones in another movie.

Garson did not directly mention Cattrall’s name in his tweet, but he revealed that a “toxic” individual negotiated a contract for six months that wasn’t finalized and then says, “I never wanted to do it anyway.”

After Parker announced that “Sex and the City” 3 will no longer be a go, Cattrall slammed reports that she had something to do with it. But a source close to the actress told People that Cattrall was a major factor in the movie being shelved. “Kim is trying to distract from what this is about – which is this: Kim killed the movie,” the source said.

Another source told the same publication that Cattrall, Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon have had some issues over the years. But while speaking with the Daily Mail, Cattrall maintained her stand when it comes to returning to the franchise. The 61-year-old actress said that she has refused to reprise her role multiple times in recent years.

“It’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no’ that I’m demanding or a diva. The answer was always no and a respectful and firm, no. I never asked for any money. I never asked for any projects. To be thought of as some kind of diva is absolutely ridiculous,” she said.

On her Twitter account, Cattrall explained that the only “demand” she made was that she didn’t want to be part of a third film. The actress stressed that that statement was uttered in 2016.

Some of her fans supported the actress’ decision to not be a part of a sequel and said that she’s empowered and controls her own life.
