What To Expect From Sony At MWC 2017

  • Sony is slated to have a relatively low-key announcement schedule for MWC this year. A 2017 version of the Sony Xperia XA smartphone was teased via a leak in late January. The midrange phone’s biggest potential upgrades look to be a 23-megapixel rear camera, Android 7.0 Nougat and a matte finish.

  • A successor to the Sony Xperia X has also been rumored to be announced at MWC. According to a report from TechRadar, the Sony Xperia X2 will potentially have a screen around the five-inch range with a a 1080p to QHD resolution.

  • Similar rumors have focused on the rest of Sony’s announcement lineup for MWC. According to a report via GSMArena, five additional phones could be included on Sony’s press conference schedule. These phones are rumored to be the Sony Yoshino, BlancBright, Keyaki, Hinoki and Mineo. Few confirmed details are available on the phones and it’s unclear whether they’d be released alongside the XA and X2.
