‘Suits’ Season 7 Spoilers: Episode 8 Synopsis, Trailer Released

Harvey and Mike will be looking for assistance outside of Pearson Specter Litt in Season 7, episode 8 of “Suits.”

According to the synopsis for the upcoming episode of the USA Network series, Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Mike (Patrick J. Adams) seek “outside help to overcome an impossible situation.” While the episode summary doesn’t reveal what the impossible situation is, the final moments in the last episode suggest that Harvey and Mike will be working together to get Alex (Dulé Hill) out of trouble.

At the end of Season 7, episode 7, Alex paid Mike a visit and finally came clean about why he’s stopping him from pursuing the prison case. Mike learned that Alex had previously convinced Thomas Bratton (Al Sapienza) to make him and Harvey junior partners at Bratton Gould. But after Harvey turned down the offer last minute, Alex was thrown into the doghouse at work.

For a long time, Alex had only been given losing cases. Then one day, Bratton came to him with a case that would help him get back in the firm’s favor. That case required Alex to get a waiver from the state that would allow ReformCorp and Masterson Construction to supplement their workforce with inmates. But soon after acquiring the waiver, Alex found out from a guard that an inmate died on a job site. Two weeks later, an inmate murdered that guard, and when Alex told his bosses about the collusion, he found out that Bratton framed him for it.

Alex told Mike that every bonus he got since taking that case had been tied to a shady event to make it appear like he intentionally covered it all up. Unfortunately, Alex had no other option but to go along with it because he couldn’t let his daughter grow up without a father.

In Season 7, episode 4, Robert (Wendell Pierce) mentioned to Harvey that he has “no love” for Bratton Gould, so it’s possible that Robert is the “outside help” Harvey and Mike are looking for in order to save Alex.

Elsewhere in episode 8, an unexpected encounter derails Louis’ (Rick Hoffman) search for a new associate. While the trailer for the episode doesn’t reveal who Louis bumps into, it’s likely that the financial law expert is reunited with his ex-fiancée, Sheila, as the character’s portrayer, Rachael Harris, is listed as one of the guest stars in the episode.

Also in the next episode, Donna (Sarah Rafferty) receives a surprising proposition. In the trailer, Donna meets with her former boyfriend Mark (Jay Harrington) and admits to him that “she put Harvey first for too long.” Will Donna’s confession prompt Mark to ask her to give their romance another try?
