Youth is served.

23-year-old UFC fighter Jon Bones Jones scored a technical knockout of Mauricio Shogun Rua in a light heavyweight title fight in Newark, New Jersey.

Jones is now the youngest UFC Champion.

It was a convincing victory for Jones, who has great reach and strong wrestling skills. He completely dominated the fight, and landed a barrage of strikes.

Rua sustained a great deal of punishment as Jones was clearly the more fervent aggressor. He out-hit Rua 87-13 in total strikes landed, and had a 66-5 edge in power strikes landed. Jones started the fight by taking down Rua and keeping him on the ground for almost three minutes.

It was only the 14th fight Jones has been in.

For Rua, who previously avenged his loss to Lyoto Machida, the loss puts him in a difficult position. He now has three losses in his last six fights, so his stock has dropped.

Jones will face Rashad Evans next.
