In news that surprised no one, Rep. Anthony Weiner announced today that he did in fact post a photo of his gentals to Twitter, and further admitted to having ongoing inappopriate electronic contact with multiple women.

Noticeably absent from the press conference was Weiner's wife of less than a year, Huma Abedin, who previously caught the public (and Weiner's) eye as Hillary Clinton's close aide. Abedin joined Clinton's staff as an intern in 1996 and has remained at the Secretary of State's side ever since.

Weiner insists his wife will stand by her man despite the scandal, but dodged media questions about her whereabouts at the press conference.
