Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s attorney and spokesperson, was recently slammed on Twitter for tweeting out a picture of his daughter on Monday, wearing black, translucent lingerie and leggings.

He captioned the picture: “So proud of my Ivy League daughter...brains and beauty channeling her Edie Sedgwick.”

While there were a handful of people who praised Cohen for being supportive of his daughter’s professional endeavors, many others thought sharing a picture of his 21-year-old daughter, Samantha Cohen, in such skimpy clothing was "super duper creepy."

Things got uglier when a Twitter user named Bonnie Bratnober replied to Michael’s post by saying: “POTUS wants to date his daughter, the VP calls his wife ‘mother,’ and DJT’s attorney posts spank-bank material of his daughter.”

Michael responded to that by simple tweeting “Jealous?”

This made the situation worse with puzzled people lashing out at Michael for defending himself.

“This type of reply might be more creepy than you posting the pic, bro,” replied Twitter user Patrick Quaife. Another user meanwhile, reminded others, “This is the same guy who defended Trump by claiming a man can't rape his own wife by definition.”

However, Michael did not back down from his defense. “Beauty and brains you a-hole! It's a modeling shot remake from an old Edie Sedgwick photo. #hater,” he wrote back in reply to another critical tweet.

Before he was appointed to the post of Trump’s lawyer and one of his spokespersons, he acted as the Executive Vice-President of the Trump Organization and special counsel to the then GOP candidate. He is also a former member of the of the board of the Eric Trump Foundation, a children's health charity.

Samantha Cohen however defended her father's decision to post the picture of her. She told Mail Online she did not have an issue with her father posting the controversial picture on social media. Instead, she accused Twitter users for stirring up “drama.”

“I find it hypocritical that those who consider themselves liberal would criticize a woman embracing her body. There is nothing sexualized about the photograph... it is tasteful and it is demure,” Samantha said.

Twitter users were also quick to liken Michael’s action to the highly criticized comment made by Trump in the past when he yet to be elected the commander-in-chief of the United States.

In an interview with “The View” when the creator of “Celebrity Apprentice” was asked to share his thoughts about how he would react if his daughter posed nude on the cover of Playboy magazine, he gave an unexpected reply.

“I don’t think Ivanka [Trump] would do that, although she does have a very nice figure,” Trump said. “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her,” Trump said, Raw Storyreported.

Trump followed up the controversial comment by praising his daughter’s “best body” on “The Howard Stern Show” back in 2003, adding his daughter had made a “tremendous” amount of money in the modeling world.
