Two boys were arrested Wednesday in connection with the robbery of an 80-year-old Asian man in California’s Bay Area.

The attack took place at around 4 p.m. ET Saturday in San Leandro when the victim was out on a walk. Surveillance video showed the victim, who was shoved to the ground, calling out for help as one assailant apparently sat in a getaway car, giggling.

The police said the assailants were aged 11 and 17 and the attack wasn’t racially motivated, ABC 7 reported. It wasn't clear if only the boys were involved in the robbery.

One of the assailants is seen in the video removing the victim’s FitBit wristband by force before fleeing the scene in the vehicle. The victim had suffered minor injuries in the assault and reportedly didn’t require medical attention.

"It's crazy to see kids that age doing that kind of stuff going down that road already," a witness who recorded the video from his home, told ABC 7.

San Leandro police have arrested two boys in connection with the robbery. The boys were busted when the younger one was driving a vehicle that was carjacked on May 10 in Oakland, KRON 4 reported. "We are thankful that we were able to capture these juveniles safely and expeditiously," the outlet quoted Lieutenant Ali Khan, as saying.

The police told ABC7 the 11-year-old suspect has an extensive criminal history. The young boy was busted on April 12 in connection with several other robberies and carjacking incidents.

"Additionally, the 11-year-old male was driving a carjacking vehicle that was stolen on May 10 in Oakland," the outlet reported Ali, as saying.

The 11-year-old suspect was reportedly released to his mother after the arrest considering his age. It wasn't clear if the 17-year-old was released or still in custody.

The police said a few hours after the robbing of the elderly Asian man, the suspects allegedly targeted another young Hispanic woman who had her wallet yanked away by them.
