Jordan Cashmyer passed away over the weekend.

Jordan's stepmother announced on her late father's Facebook account that she passed away Sunday, Entertainment Tonight reported. She was 26.

"Last night I received a call no parent ever wants," the post read. "My oldest beloved daughter, Jordan, has passed away, she was only 26 years old. Our hearts are truly broken. No parent should ever have to go through losing a child, EVER."

She added, "Please keep my family in your thoughts [and] prayers as we navigate through this terrible tragedy. Please understand and respect our privacy at this time. We are surrounded by the love and support of our children, granddaughter Lyla and family members."

The post also tagged her mom Jessica Cashmyer. Several netizens commented on the Facebook post and sent the family supportive messages.

"I'm so so sorry for your loss. My sincerest condolences during this difficult time," one wrote.

"I am truly sorry for your loss. There are no words. You and your family are in my prayers," another added.

"We are so saddened to hear this news. Sending you our deepest sympathy. May the Lord hold you all in His everlasting embrace and bring you peace, strength, and comfort. You are in our thoughts and prayers," a third user commented.

The cause of death has not been confirmed.

Jordan's story was highlighted in a 2014 episode of MTV's "16 And Pregnant." It followed her relationship with then-boyfriend Derek Taylor and their struggles with homelessness, unemployment and relationship issues with her family, who disowned her because they disapproved of their relationship, ET noted.

The exes welcomed their daughter Genevieve "Evie" Shae Taylor. She signed over temporary custody to his mom. The news of her death already reached Derek on the eve of Jan. 15, her rep told E! News.

"This is an incredibly sad day. Jordan was a sweet and caring person," the rep added. "Last we spoke she was doing well and seemed to be in a good place mentally and physically. I wish people had the opportunity to know her beyond her struggles. I was always rooting for her and am grateful I had the chance to know and work with her all these years. Life wasn't always kind to her so now she is able to be at peace."
