There are a number of big events for the royal family in 2018.

There are exciting celebrations that are bound to happen for the royal family in 2018, People reported. While some of these are certain to happen, others are just more likely to. Nevertheless, royal watchers should look out for these major happenings next year.

Arrival of the third royal baby. Earlier this month, the Kensington Palace announced that the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge are expecting. It remains unknown when Middleton is due. However, there are rumors that the baby might be out in March 2018. Middleton is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, which usually begins within the first 12 weeks. If the Duchess of Cambridge is already 12 weeks along during the announcement, the third baby might be out in March.

Royal engagement. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's romance is one of the hottest items today. In fact, despite the lack of confirmation, many are convinced that the two are already engaged. A source close to the couple confessed that the lovers may already be engaged.

"I think it's already happened but they're holding the news back until she has finished on 'Suits,'" one of their pals said. "I've never seen them happier. It's amazing."

Prince Harry and Markle have been plagued with engagement rumors since they flew to Africa to celebrate the "Suits" star's 36th birthday. Multiple sources confirmed that Prince William's brother had been planning to pop the big question in Botswana, which he considers his second home.

However, the lovers reportedly wanted to keep their engagement private for a while that is why they have not publicized it yet, which is normal for the royals. Should they want to keep the news longer, the couple might delay the announcement until 2018.

Royal wedding. If Prince Harry and Markle will announce their engagement before the year ends, they might tie the knot in 2018. In fact, according to sources, the pair has been talking about their wedding plans already.

"While Meghan may not be wearing a ring or a formal engagement announced, it's fair to say they're as good as engaged now," one source said. "They've spoken about their marriage plans openly with each other and friends and family around them are pretty much thinking about wedding attire already!"
