8 Questions ‘The Bold Type’ Season 3 Must Answer After That Finale

“The Bold Type” Season 2 ended with quite a few cliffhangers. In addition to Jane and Kat’s love lives being in disarray, the board planned to replace Jacqueline. There’s plenty of drama, but now the Freeform show is on hiatus. These are the questions that need to be answered in Season 3:

1. Who does Jane (Katie Stevens) choose? It seemed like Tiny Jane knew whether she’d choose Pinstripe (Dan Jeanotte) or Ben (Luca James Lee), both of whom offered her ways to freeze her eggs. However, the finale didn’t reveal who she chose. Luckily, it’s pretty much a sure thing that the Season 3 premiere will address this right away.

2. How does Scarlet react to Richard (Sam Page) and Sutton (Meghann Fahy)? Sure, Kat and Jane have boarded the Suttard ship, but the rest of the office was unaware of their romance. A fashion assistant dating a board member is going to make for plenty of office gossip.

3. Are Sutton and Richard on the same page? Before his dad’s death, Richard seemed to be getting serious with Jessica (Tattiawna Jones). It seemed like they were heading for marriage and babies, but Sutton certainly doesn’t seem ready for that. Will Richard want the relationship to get serious fast?

4. Can Adena (Nikohl Boosheri) and Kat (Aisha Dee) make it? Creativity is a tricky thing, especially when it supports a career. The idea that Adena is feeling so stifled by her relationship that she can’t produce good art is difficult. Will Kat offer to open their relationship back up? Or will they break things off? This is a problem that doesn’t have an easy solution.

5. Who will be the new boss? With the board firing Jacqueline (Melora Hardin), it’ll be a scary time at Scarlet. It’ll be hard for the ladies to accept their new leader, especially if she isn’t as nurturing as Jaqueline.

6. What’s next for Jacqueline? Will she fight to get her job back? Will she find a different magazine to run? Melora Hardin was spotted on set in Stevens’ Instagram stories Tuesday, so it looks like she’ll find a way to pop up at the Scarlet offices in the first or second episode of Season 3. Let’s hope she finds a way to stick around.

7. Will Jane go further to prevent breast cancer? Obviously, Jane’s BRCA gene affects her in a huge way, and it isn’t something that she can ever push to the back of her mind. While freezing her eggs is a big step, will she ever consider going further with a mastectomy to stop cancer before it starts?

8. Will Jane’s family be introduced? Audiences met Kat’s parents and Sutton’s mom this season, so isn’t it time we meet Jane’s family? She has three brothers. One of them has to visit New York at some point.
