On Tuesday night, "Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts will host a new ABC News special that takes a closer look at the ongoing national protests following George Floyd's murder. The new hour-long special, called "America in Pain: What Comes Next?" will also be co-anchored by "World News Tonight" host David Muir and "Nightline" personality Byron Pitts. Here's what we know prior to its premiere and when you can watch the new ABC primetime special.

According to a press release, the live show will not only focus on the "outrage across the country" following Floyd's death but also "police brutality and systemic racism against black Americans." It will also look at the hurt and anger that millions have felt in recent weeks and what provoked those feelings throughout the United States.

Stories of protesters will also be featured as the show examines "why this moment may be a turning point for race in America." Additionally, the ABC News personalities will also take a closer look at how various cities and leaders across the country have responded to the unrest. Other correspondents will also provide pieces of their own reporting throughout the primetime show.

A preview, which can be seen below, highlights the "crossroads" that the country is currently facing. Throughout the program, Roberts, Muir, and Pitts will continue "searching for answers" amid the current chaos.

This is not the first special that ABC News has created in recent weeks in order to address nationwide problems that have weighed on the minds of many. On May 26, Diane Sawyer took viewers inside her own new report that centered on the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Throughout "Our New Reality: A Diane Sawyer Special," Sawyer looked at the work being done by scientists as they race to find a cure for COVID-19, some who have volunteered for human trials, and other relevant topics surrounding the current health crisis. Additionally, she also looked ahead as states begin to reopen in the coming months.

"America in Pain: What Comes Next?" will air Tuesday night at 9.pm. EDT on ABC.
