Adult Film Star Yurizan Beltran Found Dead Days After August Ames’ Suicide

Adult film star Yurizan Beltran was recently found dead days after fellow porn star, August Ames, committed suicide.

According to Fox News, the 31-year-old was found dead by the owner of the house that she was living in. There were pills found near her bed.

Dan Hogue, director of business development, released a statement expressing their sadness over the news of Beltran’s passing. “The entire PornStar Platinum family is in mourning at the news of the loss of one of its family members. She was always kind to me and we will miss her,” he said.

Beltran, who is also known in the adult film industry as Yuri Luv, died almost two weeks after 23-year-old rising porn star Ames took her own life. Following Ames’ death, her family uncovered a suicide note from the young star.

In September, Ames sat down for an interview with Holly Randall’s “Unfiltered” podcast where she talked about mental health and drug abuse. Growing up, the adult film star revealed that she suffered “a lot of sexual molestation,” but when she told her older family members, no one believed her.

“It was just awful. It’s still recent where I have to keep myself occupied or else I start thinking about all that [expletive] and then I fall into depression,” she said (via Independent).

Days before taking her own life by hanging, Ames told one of her fellow porn stars that she was suffering from depression. And in the days leading up to her demise, she was also heavily criticized online after refusing to do a sex scene with a gay porn star.

Critics called Ames homophobic, but she defended herself by saying that she just wants to make sure she prioritizes her health.

Meanwhile, Canadian porn star Shyla Sylez also passed away on Nov. 9. She was 35. Sylez was found dead in her mom’s home in British Columbia, and there are speculations that she died in her sleep.

However, Sylez’s official cause of death has not yet been confirmed by officials. It is still unclear whether or not she committed suicide or died of natural causes.
