The information came from a de Armas fan account on Twitter. However, the user did not disclose where the information was from.

The account user started the tweet with “UPDATE,” followed by an allegation that the person who trashed the Ana de Armas cutout was Ben Affleck’s brother, Oscar-winning actor Casey Affleck.

Netizens who quickly noticed the tweet replied in the thread to verify the information.

“Why would he be wearing the same shirt as the landscaper or whatever,” one netizen said.

“If it was Casey,” said another netizen. “Why was he wearing the same fluorescent yellow Diamond Landscaping shirt as the other guy?”.

Then, a netizen who replied to the thread said it was not Ben’s brother.

On the same conversation thread, a netizen asked why the actor had a life-size cardboard of his girlfriend. According to Los Angeles Times, the cutout was part of a prank by Affleck’s children on him last June.

A few hours after Affleck and de Armas’ split went public, photographers spotted the latter’s life-size cardboard cutout being thrown in the garbage bin at Affleck’s residence, ET Online reported.

Amid the breakup controversy, fans spotted de Armas sporting a new look after her quick appearance in “Ser Mama es De Madre.” A fan took a screen snap of the Cuban actress while giving a Spanish message to a friend, Harpers Bazaar reported.

Affleck, 48, and de Armas, 32, had been dating for over a year before ending their relationship. According to a source, who talked to People, de Armas broke it off.

The insider added that Affleck and de Armas’ relationship was complicated. Affleck is currently living in Los Angeles because of his kids, but de Armas — allegedly — didn’t want to stay in L.A.

A different source told the publication that at the moment, the former couple was at different points of their lives and the split was amicable.
