  • Alex Rodriguez reunited with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis Saturday
  • He shared a video of Scurtis wrapping his leg in ice at a gym
  • Rodriguez also called Scurtis a "world class mommy" to their daughters, Natasha and Ella

Alex Rodriguez praised his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, for being a great mom to their children.

Rodriguez and Scurtis reunited Saturday, and the former New York Yankee, 45, shared a photo and video of them hanging out via his Instagram Story. In the video, Scurtis wrapped his leg in ice at a gym, with both dressed in workout gear.

"Cynthia is a world class mommy to our girls…wrapping ice though?!?!?! LOL," Rodriguez captioned the clip.

In another Instagram Story, the exes posed with friend Angel Nicolas for a photo.

Rodriguez and Scurtis were married from 2002 to 2008. They share two daughters, Natasha, 16, and Ella, 13.

Earlier this year, the former baseball player spoke about his co-parenting experience with Scurtis and revealed some of the struggles of being in a blended family. He also shared that by putting their daughters first, he learned to be a "more compassionate, more considerate" person.

"When I want to do things at Christmas with the girls, I may start asking for, not permission, but proactively in July I may be talking about Christmas, versus if I was in a different state of mind, I would drop it Dec. 15 and say, 'Hey, Cynthia, can I have the kids?'" Rodriguez said on the "Raising the Bar" podcast in January.

"So it's been a really, really nice experience for us. I'm very friendly with [Cynthia's husband] Angel, he's wonderful with my girls. I think having four good people at the table, well, three good people and me," he added.

Rodriguez's posts came months after he and Jennifer Lopez announced their split. The "Hustlers" star and the former pro athlete were together for four years and engaged for two before they officially called it quits in April.

"We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so," they wrote in a joint statement to the "Today" show. "We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another's children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support."

In May, an anonymous source told Entertainment Tonight that if Rodriguez had it his way, he would still be with Lopez.

"It was definitely her call to end it. He would have loved for it to keep going," the insider said.

Meanwhile, Lopez appeared to have rekindled her romance with ex Ben Affleck. They reunited Friday in Los Angeles after Affleck bonded with her mom, Guadalupe Rodriguez, in Las Vegas earlier this week, People reported.
