“Bachelor in Paradise” star Amanda Stanton has not only confirmed that she and Robby Hayes have called it quits, but she’s also spilled the beans on what made her walk away from the former pro swimmer.

On Wednesday, 27-year-old Stanton attended the End-of-Summer Bachelor Party in Santa Monica where she was interviewed by Us Weekly regarding her relationship with Hayes. Surprisingly, Stanton grabbed the chance to open up about her split from Hayes during the dialogue with the publication. “Robby and I are not together,” she said. “I’m not really sure how Robby’s handled the situation.”

Last week, Stanton exclusively spoke with People at the reunion taping and gushed about the things that led to their split. “I think we just have different ideas of what a relationship is like. Like, certain things that just come naturally in a relationship, like checking in with that person, answering when I call.”

Stanton also admitted that she was affected by the photos she found of Hayes and a mystery woman. “There were photos of him with another girl,” she said before pointing out that everything “became too much for me.”

“It’s a little frustrating as a girl, and I think a lot of girls can relate to putting all your effort into somebody and maybe them not doing the same and kind of feeling like you wasted your time,” Stanton said.

The reality TV actress also dished in her interviews how her romantic relationship with Hayes started. According to her, she was not at all interested in Hayes at the very beginning because he’s friends with her ex-fiancé Josh Murray. However, she developed a mutual understanding with Hayes when they decided to hang out more and more.

“He was like, ‘I want you to be my girlfriend. I haven’t had a girlfriend in a long time. Let’s just go full force.’ I was like, ‘Okay, I’m not interested in dating anybody else,’” Stanton said on how she and Hayes ended up being a couple.

Now that they have headed to splitsville, Stanton maintains that she still wants to keep her friendship with Hayes. “I’m totally open to being friends with him. I don’t have any hard feelings towards him,” she told E! News recently. “I don’t want any awkward tension between anybody. So I hope we can be friends.”

Amanda’s breakup announcement comes more than two weeks after Hayes revealed that he has yet to meet Stanton’s kids. At the time, he claimed that he really understands Stanton’s situation and he respects her different dating approach.
