“America’s Got Talent” Season 15 is returning in the summer

The new season of “AGT” will soon return in the small screen. In its official website, NBC has been dropping clues on how close its premiere date is.

“Season 15 is coming soon,” the promotion on the website read. “Season 15 will heat up your summer with more talent, fun and surprises than ever before!”

Meanwhile, “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara will be joining the show as one of the judges for the first time. Vergara will join the star-studded panel alongside Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell. Terry Crew will also return to host the upcoming season, Today reported.

"I am so happy to join my new family on @agt This is a new and exciting next chapter for me and I’m extremely proud to be the first Latin judge on the show. I can’t wait to watch all the new talent and have fun with all you guys!" Vergara wrote on Instagram to announce her stint on the show.

American-German model Klum is very happy that she’s returning to “AGT.” The fashion designer and TV producer was overjoyed to reunite with Cowell, Mandel and Crew.

“I’m so excited to be back at ‘AGT’ with Simon, Howie and Terry. The fact that Sofia Vergara is joining us is the icing on an already delicious cake,” Klum said in a statement.

Meanwhile, “AGT: The Champions” wrapped up in February naming V.Unbeatable as the newest champion. The dance group from India has constantly impressed the judges and viewers with their exhilarating and nerve-wracking dance moves.

For their performance in the finals, they were joined by Blink 182’s drummer Travis Barker. To close their act, Barker holds a drumstick in the air and a young member somersaults backwards over him snatching the drumstick from his hand and landing on a canopy of other dancers. The four judges stand while clapping and the crowd shout to cheer on them.

“We were ecstatic. That moment was unreal,” Om Prak, the leader of the group, told the BBC's Andrew Clarance. “We worked very hard. We could not let this moment slip away. We are champions now.”
