Amir Khan is set to face Terence Crawford on April 20, something the Bolton fighter considers a legacy fight. The 32-year-old pug opted for Crawford over Kell Brook, a decision that many feel he may regret in the end.

Khan will be looking to make it three-in-a-row after disposing of Phil Lo Greco and Samuel Vargas. His last high-profile fight was that one against Canelo Alvarez, a clash where he was put to sleep in the sixth round back in May 2016. Against Vargas, it wasn't exactly a convincing win as well since he got dropped in the 10th round.

Against Crawford, Khan is seen as a heavy underdog against the 31-year-old fighter. Regardless, the Bolton fighter is more concerned about how this fight could elevate his career. With most seeing Crawford as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters, Khan may have his work cut out for him this April 20 at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

One thing going for Khan against Crawford is that he does have the hand speed. However, it will be interesting if this will be enough to waylay Crawford - someone who is seen to be physically tougher. Hence, it may all boil down to what combination or punch either fighter can unload, Forbes.com reported.

Despite the odds, Khan remains defiant. He believes that fighting at his own weight will negate the alleged power behind the punches that Crawford is expected to unleash. In fact, he believes it all boils down to who can make the right moves, comparing it to a game of chess, Boxing Scene reported.

“Crawford has had these fights that are walks in the park, where he’s beaten guys quite comfortably and not gotten into a messy fight. I’ve been quite the opposite. I’ve been in that place where it’s been a hard, rough fight. I don’t think he has," said Khan.

Khan has been known to brash talk his way through opponents in the past. Against Crawford, he needs to make sure that he has properly studied the WBO welterweight champion and come away with the title.

One thing Khan needs to be wary of is how Crawford dissects his opponents. He studies his opponent's timing and lands the (big) punches when needed. Depending on how long the fight will take, it will be interesting if Khan has enough tricks up his sleeve to keep Crawford occupied in figuring him out.
