Amy Winehouse was found dead in her Camden, London home on Saturday, police said. She was 27.

She was beyond help when paramedics arrived, sources told Sky News.

Police issued a statement saying an ambulance arrived at her home shortly before 4:05 p.m. local time after reports that a woman had been found deceased.

On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year old female who was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement read.

An inquiry into the death is ongoing.

At this stage it is being treated as unexplained, according to the statement.
