The Nexus 6 isn’t the only device suffering issues under the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. New reports indicate Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P users are having issues connecting their devices to in-car Bluetooth systems since receiving the latest Google’s software. Several users have reported the issue to Google’s forums; however, Google has not yet indicated when a fix may be implemented.

The issue dates back to October 2016 when Android Nougat was still in beta, according to GSMArena.

Luckily, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are more recent devices and the Android team may actually look into rectifying this Bluetooth bug on future software iterations. The Nexus 6 currently has issues with its speakerphone when users attempt to make a phone call.

There are questions as to whether the device will receive a fix for this issue because it is at the end of its software support cycle, having been released over two years ago. The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P released in 2015 and remain some of the primary devices receiving updates and support from Google.

There is no word on whether there are any Bluetooth or speakerphone issues on the Pixel smartphones.
