Former reality TV star and estranged wife of former Mets pitcher Kris Benson, Anna Benson, was arrested on Monday, after she broke into his Atlanta apartment and tried to rob him, reports said.

Anna, who gained much popularity with the short-lived reality television show ‘Baseball Wives,’ which focuses on the lives of baseball players’ spouses and girlfriends, was carrying a gun and a metal baton when she broke into the house, TMZ reported on Monday.

Anna was also wearing a bulletproof vest, believing her husband would be armed, law enforcement officers told TMZ, adding that Anna stormed into the house in a rage after she was ordered by a court to move out of the Bensons' marital home.

Police reports cited by TMZ said that Kris escaped and called law enforcement officials after promising to get her some cash.

Anna, a former model, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault with a weapon, one count of possession of a firearm during the crime, and one count of criminal trespass.

According to a Fox News report, Anna said that Kris filed for divorce after he allegedly cheated on her with one of her close friends.

"She and Kris are both denying the affair, saying it was just ‘inappropriate talk,'" Anna said at the time. "But I picked up his iPad and I hit the Facebook button and looked at his inbox messages, and there were all of these sexy messages between them. And you just don't talk with somebody like that that you're not having sex with."

During the 13 years of their marriage, Anna’s antics overshadowed Kris’ career. She reportedly told Howard Stern during an interview that she would sleep with the entire Mets team if her husband cheated on her, and ironically, it was his cheating ways that ended their marriage, according to Fox News.
