  • There will be an update about "Ant-Man 3" soon
  • Michael Douglas asked fans to "hang tight"
  • The filming will be released in 2021

There may be a huge update about the progress of “Ant-Man 3” soon. Hank Pym actor Michael Douglas talked about the upcoming film during a recent interaction with the fans. He is not allowed to share any details without Marvel’s authorization, so he hinted that a big announcement will be made soon.

Douglas took part in a Q&A session with the fans on Twitter recently, where he was asked about the next “Ant-Man” film. The actor jokingly said that Marvel would have someone shoot him in the neck with a blowgun if he spilled any beans, but he asked the fans to “hang tight” for an update soon, Screen Rant reported.

It is not clear what kind of an update Marvel will share with the fans. All Douglas said was that the announcement about the film will be made “pretty soon.” The upcoming film is expected to deal with the fallout of “Avengers: Endgame” and at the same time introduce exciting new characters for the future. So far, very few details about the plot of “Ant-Man 3” have been released online.

According to a theory by Screen Rant, one of the villains that the upcoming film can introduce is MODOK. The character appeared in the comics as the leader of Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM) and his name is an acronym for Mental Organism Designed Only For Killing. He was originally a regular person and not a villain, but a science experiment resulted in him getting a large head and the resulting increase in his IQ made him want more power, which turned him into a villain.

Peyton Reed is back in the director’s chair for the upcoming film. The script will be written by Jeff Loveness, who is known for writing Cartoon Networks’ “Rick and Morty” series, The Hollywood Reporter reported. The work on the script reportedly started in April and the production may not start for a while with the lockdown in place.

“Ant-Man 3” is set to be released in 2022 which gives the producers enough time to work on the project. The actual filming may begin in 2021 if the coronavirus lockdown doesn’t affect the premiere date.
