Anthony Davis might not wear the Lakers uniform in 2021, and it seems that everything in Holywood isn't meant to last forever. Despite the hype of a future LeBron James and "A.D." duo, the 7-year veteran spoke about the likelihood of playing for his hometown team in Chicago.

Davis, speaking at Nike Rise camp at Kenwood Academy, Chicago said that "this is my hometown." The former first overall added that "if the opportunity ever presents itself... I'd consider it."

To make matters worse, "The Brow" will be an unrestricted free agent in 2021. As it appears, what we have now in Los Angeles might be a prelude to a bleak future as Lebron would turn 37 after two seasons.

The win now, suffer later approach seems to be the most logical thing for the Lakers now. The organization just shipped three members of their young core, not to mention the three future picks that include this year's 4th overall selection.

Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart are proven talents. The addition of Zion Williamson and Jaxson Hayes (acquired via draft trade) makes the Pelicans sound scarier on paper. The team just added another veteran presence in JJ Redick in addition to mainstay Jrue Holiday.

But not everything is lost for the Lakers; as a consolation, they might pull off a Kawhi, considering they added Demarcus Cousins, Quinn Cook, and Danny Green. They also retained mainstays Javale Mcgee, Rajon Rondo, and Lance Stephenson, not to mention crowd favorite Alex Caruso, and clutch shooter Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

If there's any consolation to the Lakers win now-movement, A healthy "Boogie" and "A.D." could certainly cause a lot of matchup problems down the block. With Lebron making much of the point, we could see the resurgence of the Showtime Lakers.

But they would still need to beat a Kawhi-led Clippers team that managed to add Paul George their list of stars. "The Claw" coming from a recent championship in Toronto seems to be keen on putting the Clips as the new face of Los Angeles.

Not only that, L.A. would need to find their chemistry fast, as other teams on rebuild have already made some significant changes in their lineups. From James Harden, and Russel Westbrook's reunion in Houston, to the 76er's size, everything in the NBA nowadays poses a problem.

A.D. Leaving the Lakers in 2021 won't be a problem, its what happens after that is, good luck.
