With a potential megafight against Deontay Wilder looming in 2019, Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) faces Russian challenger Alexander Povetkin (34-1, 24 KOs) Saturday at Wembley Stadium in London in an IBF, WBA and IBO heavyweight championship bout.

Joshua enters the fight as the heavy favorite at -1,250, while Povetkin is a +750 underdog.

Both fighters were on the same card in March in Wales. Joshua earned a unanimous decision win over Joseph Parker, while Povetkin is coming off a fifth-round knockout over David Price.

Joshua, a highly fit 6-foot-6 athlete, is a smart, polished boxer, who rarely exposes himself to power punches. His signature win was a TKO victory over legend Wladimir Klitschko in April 2017. Joshua is four inches taller than Povetkin and has a seven-inch reach advantage. He weighed in Friday at about 246 pounds, while Povetkin weighed in at 222 pounds.

"[Povetkin is] one of the lightest heavyweights but that means he has speed," Joshua said on Thursday.

Povetkin is coming off eight-straight wins after suffering his only loss to Klitschko but has been the subject of controversy. In December 2016, Povetkin failed his second drug test in seven months.

Joshua will receive £20 million ($26.15 million) for fighting Povetkin, but the bigger payday awaits against Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs). Joshua and Wilder are considered the class of the heavyweight division. Wilder will face former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury on Dec. 1.

The Joshua-Povetkin fight continues an exciting month for boxing. Shawn Porter recently captured the WBC welterweight title, while Canelo Alvarez won the middleweight title by defeating Gennady Golovkin. Floyd Mayweather, who boasts a perfect 50-0 record, announced last week that he would have a rematch with Manny Pacquiao.

Coverage begins at 4:30 p.m. ET with a live steam available at DAZN. In the U.K., the fight will be shown on Sky Sports Box Office.

Prediction: Joshua by a late-round TKO
