Actor Anthony Rapp and his partner Ken Ithiphol have welcomed their first child via surrogacy.

The couple shared a sweet photo on their respective Instagram handles Monday, revealing that it's a baby boy. They have named him Rai Larson Ithiphol and he was born on Dec. 2.

In the photo, the couple can be seen posing together with their little bundle of joy. While Ithiphol is seen holding the baby in his arms, Rapp has his left hand over Ithiphol's shoulder and another one on the baby.

"Ken and I are thrilled to share that our family has grown!" Rapp captioned the post. "Our son, Rai Larson Ithiphol, was brought into the world on Friday, December 2, 2022, by an incredibly generous surrogate, to whom we are eternally grateful."

Rapp also clarified that Rai is pronounced as "rye" or "chai." He added, "We love him very much."

Many celebrities took to the comment section to write congratulatory messages.

"Congrats my angels I can't wait to meet him!!!" drag queen Jackie Cox commented. Actress Camryn Manheim wrote, "Welcome little one. I hope you can feel the sea of love that surrounds you. Cannot wait to smell you."

The 51-year-old actor started dating Ithiphol, who works as a yoga instructor, in 2016 after they met online. According to multiple outlets, Ithiphol DM'ed the Broadway star following one of his performances in Los Angeles and soon they started dating.

The couple finally got engaged in November 2019.

Rapp shared a photo via Twitter in March 2020, sharing that he proposed Ithiphol. However, it is unclear if they got married or not.

"So this happened. Yes, we are already engaged, but I had proposed to Ken. This time, in the most incredible setting imaginable — Boynton Canyon in Sedona — he proposed to me. I was blown away and of course I said yes. I feel so lucky."

On the work front, Rapp has been a regular on the TV series, "Star Trek: Discovery" since 2017. He was recently seen in a drama, "Scrap," which was released in September. The flick was helmed by director Vivian Kerr and also stars Lana Parrilla, Julianna Layne and Khleo Thomas.
