Apollo Nida faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of mail, wire and bank fraud. On Tuesday, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member appeared in U.S. District Court in Georgia. In addition to facing up to 30 years, he may also be fined up to $1 million. Nida is to sentenced on July 8.

Nida has been under investigation by the federal government on charges of stealing people’s identities to apply for loans and create more than 40 fraudulent bank accounts. An investigation into the operation began in February 2012, and he was subsequently charged with bank fraud and identity theft.

In court, Nida said he takes "full responsibilty for my actions" and admitted, "it was a dumb situation I put myself in."

If Nida goes to prison for this, it won’t be for the first time. He served time from 2004 to 2009 for auto title fraud. But in addition to his legal troubles, Nida has also been in hot water with his wife, Phaedra Parks, after accusations that he engaged in inappropriate conduct with "RHOA" castmate Kenya Moore. He since denied their relationship was inappropriate, though there were numerous text messages between the two that Parks had been unaware of.

Parks and Nida may even be heading for divorce, especially after his recent comments about their marriage. Nida opened up about his relationship in a recent interview, telling Sister 2 Sister about first falling in love with Parks, with whom he has two children. “I really admired everything that she did as a woman. I think that we have lost sight of the true picture, which is that we did take an oath to God and we did build a family and a brand. Whatever has come of this reality fiasco, we have had two beautiful children, and at the end of the day, I only wish her the best."

But when asked about the state of their marriage, Nida sounded unsure. “I can’t say if it’s going to last. But I hope that it does … I definitely love her. I’ve grown to love her more," he said.
