Leaks of components and features of the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6 have surged with the rumored launch date in mid-September of the much-anticipated device approaching. The latest one: a video that purports to show the case of the gold iPhone 6.

In a video posted by YouTube user iCrackUriDevice, the purported iPhone 6 case is compared to several device cases, including the iPhone 5S and 5C. Among the notable changes is the relocation of the power switch to the side, which iCrackUriDevice believes was done to accommodate the larger display of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6.

On the rear of the case are cutouts that likely will be used for the iPhone 6 camera, noise-canceling microphone and camera flash. Unlike the iPhone 5S’s pill shaped True Tone flash, the iPhone 6 flash cutout is circular, suggesting that Apple has also redesigned the flash for this upcoming iPhone model.

The iPhone 6 case also sports two antenna breaks on the top and bottom of the device, consistent with several case mock-ups that have been released in recent months.

On the inside, the case also features an oddly-shaped cutout, which could be used for a plastic Apple logo or possibly a backlit logo which doubles as notifications indicator.

But, it’s unlikely that the iPhone 6 case is a production part since it lacks the iPhone text and the symbols required by government bodies.

9to5Mac suggests another possibility is the case could also be the housing for iPhone 6 clones that have surfaced running Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android skinned to look like Apple iOS 8.

This latest iPhone 6 case video joins the number of iPhone 6 parts that have leaked in recent months, including camera sensors, sapphire screen covers and more.

An exact release date hasn’t been confirmed for the iPhone 6, but latest rumors point to the possibility of a mid-September release during a keynote launch event. While the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is expected at this event, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 may see a later release to prevent competition between the two devices, according to DigiTimes.

Exact internal specs of the iPhone 6 haven’t been unveiled, but rumors point to the device containing the successor to the A7 processor -- the 2GHz A8 -- along with 2GB of RAM.

Following the release of the iPhone, Apple is also expected to unveil new devices, including the highly rumored iWatch.
