The card and deckbuilding mechanic in “Back 4 Blood” is more than a gimmick. This is the game’s main form of progression, and having a well-stacked deck could make a difference between success and failure.

Card bonuses can range from puny to overpowered. As such, players would want to get their hands on some of “Back 4 Blood’s” most powerful cards if they ever want to stand a chance against the Ridden in the hardest difficulties. Here are four cards that players should keep an eye out for.

Marked For Death

This card lets players deal more damage against Mutations that they highlight by 10%. Though this bonus may not seem like much, it can definitely add up with other damage-boosting cards like Silver Bullets and Large Caliber Rounds. It also synergizes well with Walker’s passive.

Only one person in a team needs this equipped for everyone to benefit from it. Having multiple people equip the card will not grant any benefits.

Broadside

This grants a 20% chance for Precision Kills to cause Ridden to explode, dealing a bit of damage to every enemy within 4 meters. This is especially useful in hordes, and it can help alleviate some pressure when Corruption Cards like The Birds are active.

Though the effect technically doesn’t stack, having more players equip this card will naturally lead to more explosions. This is best used with shotguns for easy Precision Kills.

Cross Trainers

Cross Trainers is a well-rounded mobility-centric card that boosts maximum stamina and regeneration, movement speed and health. Players who like sprinting or using melee weapons would want this card on their decks.

A good alternative is Superior Cardio since it helps with stamina efficiency.

Shredder

Dealing damage increases the damage taken by a target by 1% per hit, which stacks up to a maximum of 15%. Shotgun pellets count as single hits, which means a shotgun blast can stack this card’s effect quickly.

Multiple players using Shredder will not increase the maximum damage cap, but it will quicken the stacking process. This pairs well with other damage-stacking perks like Confident Killer and weak spot damage boosters.
