Bella Poarch Announces Social Media Break; Asks For Privacy After Filing For Divorce

TikTok star Bella Poarch is taking a break from social media after confirming she has filed for divorce.

The Filipino-American singer confirmed Tuesday that she has filed for divorce – three days after TMZ reported she was secretly married to Tyler Poarch for four years. The report said the "Inferno" singer and Tyler got married in January 2019 although Poarch was never seen wearing a wedding ring or uploaded photos of her husband on social media. TMZ also revealed her real name was Denarie and that she filed for divorce due to "irreconcilable differences."

The divorce documents, filed in Los Angeles County, also indicated that the couple had no children and that Poarch did not want to pay nor receive spousal support, according to People.

"I'm sorry if everyone thinks I've been keeping a secret. I will address my divorce when I am ready to speak about it. In the meantime, please respect mine and Tyler's privacy," she tweeted.

The 25-year-old influencer also announced she will be spending time away from social media for some time.

"My team will be taking over my socials and posting certain obligations that need to be fulfilled. I will be taking a break from social media," the "Build a Bitch" singer wrote.

The news about Poarch's secret marriage had divided her fans on Twitter.

"Aside from Bella Poarch being married secretly. I'm also shocked her surname's not Poarch it's her husband's. Her name is also NOT Bella it's Denarie😭 Ms. Gurl or should I say Mrs. Girl was Denarie Bautista Taylor," a fan wrote Sunday.

"Bella Poarch being the 3rd most followed TikTok account, having the most liked Tiktok video of all time, and being on the same music charts as Beyoncé and Taylor swift while still finding a way to keep a husband a secret is actually some sort of talent..I just can't explain," another person commented.

Poarch never really talked about her love life on camera except on a rare occasion when she guested on "H3 Podcast" last year.

In the podcast, Poarch said she had not been in a relationship in a year, which suggests she and Tyler might have gone their separate ways in 2020.
