“The Big Bang Theory” Season 10 will open with Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard’s (Johnny Galecki) wedding day.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Steve Molaro said that the couple’s union will be very intimate. “It’s small with family and friends. It’s outdoors at an arboterum in Pasadena that’s quite pretty and outdoors on our stage. It’s nice, and despite all the weirdness going on around it, you still have Leonard and Penny, who still love each other, and those pockets of love find a way of bubbling through the tension,” he said. Molaro added that the ceremony will definitely not be a disappointment for fans who have been wanting to see Penny walk down the aisle since Season 9.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that another wedding may take place in the hit CBS TV show, especially if Season 10 will be the last.

When Molaro was asked if there will be a second wedding in the upcoming episodes, the exec simply said, “I don’t know!” This heightened speculation that Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) could be next in line. After all, TV Line reported that Amy might move in with Sheldon in his apartment very early on in the season.

In other news, the fate of “The Big Bang Theory” remains unknown after Season 10, while some of the cast members’ contracts are up for renewal. Molaro said that if some of the main cast members won’t sign on to star in Season 11, there’s no point in continuing the show. “I think it would certainly be different and weird,” he said.

During a separate interview with TV Line, Cuoco said that she still wants to be part of the show after Season 10. Parsons added that he doesn’t think anyone would want to leave the show after the upcoming season.

“The Big Bang Theory” Season 10 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
