Black Ink Crew
Dutchess Latimore had a lot to say about ex Ceaser Emanuel and “Black Ink Crew” Season 5. VH1

Dutchess Latimore is not known for remaining calm and collected on the VH1 reality series “Black Ink Crew,” however, a lot has changed since Season 4, like the fact that she is a single woman.

With about a week left until the “Black Ink Crew” Season 5 premiere, the reality star spoke with Everything Girls Love where she divulged about her personal life and teased what fans can expect in the upcoming season.

Dutchess and Ceaser Emanuel are believed to have broken up in November and Dutchess seemingly confirmed the split from Ceaser by posting an email that alleged that Ceaser got another woman pregnant. Even though the two are over, fans shouldn’t expect to see it play out on screen this year. The VH1 star admitted that she has not spoken to her ex much since their break up.

The reality blamed her and Ceaser’s newfound fame for ultimately tearing them apart. Dutchess said that if the cameras were not rolling their relationship would have survived. “Everything would probably be greater than it’s ever been. When you have so many people, feeling like they have the grounds to have an opinion on your relationship or who you are as a person, that for me was emotionally draining,” she explained.

The Pretty N Ink owner explained that despite advice from others telling her to ignore the haters on social media, she couldn’t shut out the cyber bullying. “It’s just hard dealing with public perception when you are trying to love yourself and focus the things that are important to you when everybody else is focused on the things that have no value,” she stated.

Dutchess also hinted that this time around “Black Ink Crew” fans won’t see her engaging in old habits. “This season, you’ll see me a lot more focused, more detached, I feel like I’ve grown up a little bit, so I don’t see the purpose of that stuff anymore,” she said.

The reality explained that she is no longer interested in drama. “Going back and forth with somebody is not going to be priority for me,” Dutchess said.

“Black Ink Crew” Season 5 premieres Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. EST on VH1.
