Blackpink rapper-singer Lisa is officially the internet’s newest meme all thanks to her legs.

A new viral meme has recently made rounds in the internet featuring the Blackpink member’s long legs. The trending meme all started when Lisa posted a video of her dancing to QUIN and 6LACK’s “Mushroom Chocolate” on her YouTube channel. The K-pop star flexed her lengthy limbs while sporting a pair of black boots that went straight up her thighs.

Lisa’s dance video triggered a surge of Twitter users such as @dilfsarek to crop her legs from the photo and put attach them to famous photos, Billboard reported. The meme escalated further in the social media platform with the phrase: “Did it work?” Netizens created the caption as a way of saying if the juxtaposed photos of Lisa’s legs into varied pictures “worked."

A number of notable celebrities such as Madonna, Stephen Colbert, James Corden and even the official Netflix account joined the bandwagon, posting their own take of the Blackpink member’s trending meme.

Lalisa, better known by her mononym Lisa, is often the highlight of Blackpink’s dance videos. Besides singing and rapping for her K-pop band, the Thailand native is also the main dancer of the group. As per the Times, the Blackpink songstress is famous for her sharp body movement and strikingly fluid dance moves. Lisa is also the youngest member among the K-pop girl group’s three others.

The 23-year-old Blackpink member recently made headlines when she was accused of plagiarizing. Upon posting her dance performance video of “Mushroom Chocolate,” Youtuber and choreographer Cierra Nichols lashed out at the songstress, accusing her of allegedly copying her dance cover without credit. Nichols railed at Lisa and her choreographer, posting her written message on her Instagram Stories.

As of late, Blackpink is managed by South Korea’s major company, YG Entertainment. The entertainment agency also holds other powerhouse groups such as Bigbang and 2NE1 for almost seven years. The renowned K-pop girl group rose to popularity upon releasing “Boombayah,” their greatest song hit that also bagged the no. 1 spot on Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart.

Blackpink reportedly ranks third in the 2020 Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list maintaining their already star-studded status.
