Blake Shelton has urged girlfriend Gwen Stefani to avoid posting pictures of themselves on social media, according to a latest report by InTouch Weekly magazine. Shelton reportedly is concerned that their public displays of affection might turn off their fans or even cheapen their romance.

“He’s asked Gwen to stop posting so many selfies of them,” a sourced told InTouch Weekly. “He just wants to keep their special moments private. It’s the first time they’ve disagreed about something.”

The source told the magazine that Stefani feels secure “when Blake makes public proclamations about their relationship,” more so after rumored cheating scandal surrounding her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

“He [Shelton] knows that the public needs to be a part of their love story,” the insider told the magazine. “He just doesn’t want to constantly share all these pictures of them kissing or hanging out backstage.”

The report is not likely to be true, because Gossip Cop debunked the magazine’s claim.

Meanwhile, Stefani, 46, reportedly is not planning to take any big step with 39-year-old Shelton unless her three sons are on board with her.

“[Stefani] definitely tells her kids what’s going on and runs things by them all the time,” a source told Hollywood Life. “She wants their wellbeing accounted for, and if and when she goes through another marriage, she wants the kids to be on board. They really like Blake, but she definitely wants to make sure they’re okay, since the divorce is still very fresh for the kids.”
