Though the coronavirus pandemic hit most business sectors hard, it was not all that bad for the gaming industry. The situation forced gaming companies to cancel their live annual expos but most of them compensated with virtual events. Blizzard Entertainment skipped their annual presentation last year, but the BlizzCon 2021 will reportedly make up for that.

BlizzCon 2021 is a two-day online event, which will begin Friday. Those hoping to catch the live broadcast should tune in at 5 p.m. ET. The live stream will be accessible on Blizzard Entertainment's YouTube channel, as well as the official BlizzCon website. The company is broadcasting everything for free.

According to CNET, fans eagerly anticipating big announcements should tune in in the first hour itself. This will likely be the segment that showcases new game trailers and possible surprises. The developer will also reveal more details about some of the titles during the event, the report said.

However, it seems Blizzard Entertainment has accidentally leaked some details ahead of the event. Twitter user Max Shockley shared the information Thursday. "LOL it seems that Blizzard was getting ready for BlizzCon this weekend and accidentally posted a lot of the news this morning. No 'Diablo' details leaks yet sadly but ‘World of Warcraft’ fans getting big updates," the tweet read.

The leaks suggest that "World of Warcraft: Shadowlands” will welcome "Chains of Domination" as its first major content update. Similarly, "World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic" is on its way as well.

Other notable games from the developer would be "Diablo II Resurrected," "Diablo: Immortal" and a new "Hearthstone" expansion. Blizzard might also reveal more information regarding "Overwatch 2." The BlizzCon 2021 announcements for the team-based shooter will share new maps, new heroes and more details about the single-player story campaign.
