Bold and the Beautiful
Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Katie (Heather Tom) worry about Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang, not pictured) on the Sept. 25, 2017 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful" CBS

They are already looking into and trying to figure out why Bill suddenly took a leave of absence from Forrester and left Lia in charge. Now, as they continue digging for answers, Katie and Wyatt will also begin to worry about her sister, Brooke, and the state of her marriage on the Monday, Sept. 25 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Wyatt (Darin Brooks) was stunned when Bill (Don Diamont) put Liam (Scott Clifton) in charge of Spencer after suddenly taking a break from the company on the CBS soap. So far, he hasn’t gotten any answers about what happened and why he was passed over from his brother and his father, something that has frustrated him greatly. In an effort to try and show him support, Katie (Heather Tom) has also offered to try and look into things and get some answers. However, she has become distracted now that she’s learned that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) left Bill.

Now, the secret lovers will know that something big definitely had to happen for Bill to willingly give up his company and for Brooke to walk out on him. And, as they continue to try and figure out what’s happening, they will also wonder if whatever Bill has done will eventually cause Brooke to pick things up again with her other former love—Ridge (Thorsten Kaye).

“If Bill has disappointed her, I could see her going back to Ridge,” Katie says in a preview clip.

As they wonder what will happen, Katie will resolve to see what answers she can get from Brooke, though if her sister opts to tell her the truth, she will not be hearing anything near close to what she expected.

What they, and no one else outside of Bill, Liam, Brooke and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) don’t know yet is just what Bill did. Desperate to topple Spectra Fashions so he could buy their building and then build his own skyscraper in its place, Bill ordered for a fire to be set at the building, and the entire thing burned to the ground, seemingly taking everything Spectra had to offer with it.

Liam quickly figured out what his father had done and tricked him into confessing on tape. He then used it to blackmail Bill-ordering him to step down and resign from Spencer immediately and appoint him as the new CEO. Knowing there was nothing he could do about it for now, Bill agreed to do so, but not before punching his son in the face as well.

Both the arson and the assault on Liam were cruel blows to Brooke when she finally learned about them, and realizing she didn’t truly know the man she had married, she walked out and hasn’t been back home with him since. She’s still trying to figure out if she can forgive these actions at all and that their marriage is worth saving, though Bill is warning her that he isn’t going to give up on her easily.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he says in the clip.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
