Korean supergroup Blackpink is returning to the music scene with a packed schedule starting this month.

In a 30-second trailer titled, “Born Pink” released Sunday on the quartet’s official YouTube page, Blackpink announced three major activities happening this year. The trailer featured the timeframe of the activities of the group set against a backdrop of swirling dark pink smoke. The announcement also included a sound snippet of what appears to be a new song from the “Ice Cream” singers.

According to the trailer, Blackpink will drop a pre-release single this month followed by the release of their new album in September – their second studio album after “The Album” in 2020. In October, Jennie Kim, Roseanne Park, Lisa and Jisoo will embark on a world tour.

The short video has already been viewed nearly 8 million times at the time of writing, proof that the quartet’s reunion is one of the most-anticipated events among K-pop fans worldwide.

“BLACKPINK is not just an idol. They’re a girl’s dreams, dedication, intelligence, so much passion. They inspire many. Can’t wait to see BLACKPINK come back soon,” a fan wrote on the comments section of the group’s official YouTube page.

Another said, “THE QUEENS are BACK!! They will SLAY HARD this time!!!! Mark my words.”

The group’s music label, YG Entertainment announced Blackpink’s new activities in July and said the group will embark on the “largest-ever world tour for a K-Pop girl group.”

“BLACKPINK will embark on the largest-ever world tour for a K-Pop girl group by the end of the year alongside their comeback to expand their communication and reach with fans across the world,” YG Entertainment said at the time.

The teaser comes at the heels of the group’s first ever in-game concert for PUBG Mobile on July 22. The concert featured virtual depictions of the quartet singing to their megahits including “Kill This Love” and “How You Like That" and the group’s new song, “Ready For Love.”

The full music video of "Ready for Love" was released on July 26 on Blackpink's YouTube page.

Last week, YG Entertainment revealed it has “invested the highest production cost” in an upcoming Blackpink music video. “Everything is proceeding smoothly as we prepared for this under strict plans,” the label told media company OSEN.
