'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Chapter 54 Preview, Release Date, Spoilers: Who Is Sasuke's Attacker?

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Chapter 53 ends with a shocker, thanks to a special someone who stabbed Sasuke in the eye. Chapter 54 is likely going to shed light on Sasuke's attacker.

Twitter user Abdul Zoldyck shared a brief preview for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Chapter 54 teasing what happens next when Boruto's new form is unveiled.

"The power of connection eventually exceeds the command… but at the same time, what attacked Sasuke is…!!" the "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Chapter 54 preview read.

The preview hints at Momoshiki overtaking Boruto's body. Toward the end of the previous chapter, after stabbing Sasuke in the eye, Boruto tells Naruto and company that he is going to end them soon. Moreover, Boruto reveals that he is surprised that they managed to defeat Isshiki.

The chapter opens with Kawaki arriving at Isshiki's location. Meanwhile, Kawaki's sudden disappearance shocks Amado, Shikamaru and the others in Konohagakure.

Amado fears that if Isshiki has taken Kawaki, they are out of options. The scene changes to Kawaki seeing Isshiki who announces that he only has five minutes of life left.

Kawaki remembers Amado's plan that if he can avoid Isshiki implanting him with another Karma before his life runs out, they win. Isshiki prepares to implant the Karma on Kawaki's body and Naruto tells Kawaki to run away from the enemy.

Isshiki stomps on Naruto's chest and the Seventh Hokage passes out. However, Kawaki manages to run away. Unfortunately, Isshiki grabs him by his neck but Sasuke switches places with Kawaki.

Sasuke advises Kawaki to use the mineral dust bomb as a diversion against Isshiki.

The enemy uses Byakugan to locate Kawaki. The mineral dust obstructs clairvoyant powers, making Isshiki's Byakugan ineffective.

Isshiki takes Naruto hostage and declares that he will kill him if Kawaki doesn't appear in 20 seconds. Kawaki finally appears and Isshiki implants Karma on him.

Sadly, for Isshiki, Kawaki uses Shadow Doppelganger and sends his clone. Five minutes are up and Isshiki's body starts to disintegrate marking his end. Naruto and Sasuke are excited to see Kawaki using the Shadow Doppelganger technique. The chapter concludes with Momoshiki completely taking over Boruto.
