Is Jennifer Aniston close to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's six children? This is what a report claimed months ago, but there is no sign of the "Friends" star ever hanging out with her ex-husband's kids.

New Idea claimed in a report published back in March last year that Pitt and Jolie's kids, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, have met Aniston and "really love" her. The bogus report even quoted a source as saying that Aniston has "formed a very special bond" with the children and that the actor has "told friends" that she is a "great mom" to them.

However, the unreliable site failed to provide proof about Aniston meeting the kids and growing close to them. There was no mention of when she was introduced to them and how they bonded with each other.

Gossip Cop reached out to Pitt's and Aniston's reps for comment regarding the claims made by the report at the time. But they revealed that the ex-spouses, who were married for five years before divorcing in 2005, had not seen each other in a long time. Due to this, it would have been impossible for Aniston to have met Pitt's kids and hung out with them enough to form a "special bond" with them.

Pitt and Aniston only reunited in February this year at her lavish 50th birthday party at Sunset Tower Hotel in California. But the actor had not brought his kids to the bash nor has he met up with the "Friends" star again after the gathering.

The tabloid has been churning out several bogus claims about Aniston and Pitt since the two reunited at her party. One of the latest reports asserted that the two tied the knot during her 50th birthday bash. However, Aniston's rep has confirmed this to be made-up.

In addition, Pitt is still legally married to Jolie since the two have not yet finalized their divorce. The actor and his estranged wife met face-to-face at a lawyer's office a couple of times earlier this year to discuss the terms of their divorce and the custody of their six children, Us Weekly reported.
