Reports that actress Margot Robbie’s husband was “keeping a close eye” on her co-star Brad Pitt — on the sets of “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood," a film where both are starring — because he suspected the actor of having a crush on his wife is nothing but a baseless rumor, Gossip Cop reported.

The rumor was first created by a false report on Radar Online and more recently built up by another equally untrue report by Life & Style magazine. In the latest article, an unnamed source told the outlet that the “Suicide Squad” actress’ husband, Tom Ackerley, knew of Pitt’s rumored romances with many of his female co-stars in the past and hence had warned him to “steer clear of Margot.”

“Tom doesn’t want them socializing offset, and he’s told Margot that he won’t stand for it,” the source added.

If that was not enough, Hollywood Life tried taking their own spin on the rumor, speculating whether Robbie, too, had feelings for the "Troy" actor.

“Margot thinks Brad is amazing, hot, sexy, really talented and she has the utmost respect for him, but there’s absolutely no crush on her part,” the publication cited a so-called source close to the actress as saying. “She’s only got eyes for Tom. Margot thinks her husband is the best looking guy on the planet, even Brad Pitt can’t compete with Tom, at least not for Margot.”

“Even if Brad tried, he would never be able to woo her away,” the source further added. Although Hollywood Life’s report made it clear that Robbie harbored no feelings for Pitt, it did build on the rumor that Angelina Jolie’s estranged husband was trying to charm her.

The truth, as stood, was that there was no brewing romance between Robbie and Pitt, and nothing but professionalism from either of the actors, as far as working together was concerned. The rumors seemed to have gained steam due to Pitt’s impending status as a single man and his past history of being allegedly being linked to every other female co-star he worked with.

A representative for Pitt told Gossip Cop that the rumor of the actor romantically pursuing Robbie was not true. This was because Pitt had tried turning his life around for the sake of his children and was solely focused on fatherhood.

"Brad was taking time to date, when he had the time. He also enjoyed quietly dating," a source close to the actor told Entertainment Tonight in June. "But now all he wants to do is focus on family. He has taken a step away from dating because of the importance of his children and also to help mend fences with Angelina."

And while his relationship with Jolie had gotten increasingly worse over the months, what with the former couple fighting for custody of their kids, he was determined to be a better father to their children.

"He spent over a year learning to live a healthier lifestyle and he feels better than ever," the source added at the time. "He is more than ready to take on a much larger role in his children's lives and that is finally happening. He missed being with them on a daily basis and this last Father’s Day with them was incredibly meaningful."

This was not the first time that Life & Style magazine had concocted a fraudulent article about Pitt and Robbie. Back in July, the outlet claimed that the pair were “flirting up a storm” on the sets of “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” while the actress was actually enjoying a vacation in Costa Rica with her husband.
