Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline got candid about their two sons' relationship with the pop princess.

Federline spoke with Daily Mail and gave an update about his and Spears' sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, and their relationship with their mother. The professional dancer alleged that their children chose to avoid the "Toxic" singer due to the attention she received from her conservatorship because of her social media posts.

"The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now," Federline told Daily Mail. "It's been a few months since they've seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding."

When Spears married her husband, Sam Asghari, in June, their kids didn't attend her big day. Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, released a statement at the time via Page Six, saying that Sean and Jayden were "very happy" for their mom and chose to skip the wedding because "they think the focus of this day should be on Britney and Sam."

Kaplan did not confirm whether the two boys were invited to the wedding. However, the high-powered attorney said, "You can assume that the boys were welcomed to attend if they expressed that desire."

Spears' ex believed that the singer's public tribulations due to her 13-year conservatorship that ended in November had affected their children. According to him, "the whole thing has been hard to watch, harder to live through" for their two boys. Even for himself, it was reportedly the most challenging thing he had to do in his life.

He admitted that there were numerous parenting challenges with Spears. Federline added that after Spears was released from her conservatorship, she remained at the center of global attention for posting nude selfies on social media, which Federline claimed was a move he had to apologize to their sons.

"I try to explain to them, 'Look, maybe that's just another way she tries to express herself.' But that doesn't take away from the fact of what it does to them. It's tough," Federline explained. "I can't imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school."

The 44-year-old clarified that he wasn't speaking against his ex-wife for retribution but to show the untold story behind show business. He pointed out how Spears' career allegedly affected her relationship with their sons. Federline is married to Victoria, a former volleyball player.

Federline and Victoria share daughters Jordan, 11, and Peyton, 8. He is also a dad to Kori, 20, and Kaleb, 18, with ex Shar Jackson.

His sons with Jackson are frequent visitors to his home, and all six of his children are very close. Victoria even compared their household to the American family sitcom "The Brady Bunch."

"This is a normal home, a family... full of love," she said. "Whatever is happening outside has nothing to do with this home."
