The main cast of the BTS Universe drama "Youth" has been revealed at last.

The "Youth" production team has roped in Seo Ji Hoon, Noh Jong Hyun, Ahn Ji Ho, Seo Young Joo, Kim Yoon Woo, Jung Woo Jin and Jeon Jin Seo to star in the highly anticipated BTS Universe drama, Soompi reported.

Though its characters will have the same names as the members of BTS, "Youth" will tell a fictional tale of seven boys, who, with sheer grit, determination and effort, overcome their challenges and rise up in life.

Seo Ji Hoon will take on the role of Kim Seok Jin, who is described as a smart boy stuck in his father’s shadow. Despite his good looks, he has a tough time expressing his emotions. Seo made a mark for himself through works such as "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency," "School 2017," "Welcome" and "Men are Men."

Noh Jong Hyun will essay the role of Min Yoon Gi. Rumor has it that the character murdered his mother and even set his house ablaze, but Yoon Gi is actually a warm person with a tough exterior. He starts healing only when he meets the character Jung Kook. Noh has appeared in TV series such as "Life on Mars," "Because This Is My First Life" and "Kkondae Intern."

Ahn Ji Ho, meanwhile, will play Jung Ho Seok in "Youth." The character, who was abandoned as a child in an amusement park, has a positive outlook toward life and has a bright aura in comparison to the other boys, much like BTS' J-Hope. Ahn has appeared in several films, including "The House of Us" and "Inseparable Bros," and in the drama "Nobody Knows."

Seo Young Joo will play Kim Nam Joon, who has had to go through a lot of hardship in life. His character is described as a responsible young boy who wants to live a simple life.

Kim Yoon Woo will take on the role of Park Ji Min, who is dealing with a trauma concerning his identity.

Jung Woo Jin will play Kim Tae Hyung, who is struggling with his father’s alcohol addiction. He is innocent and hopes that his father will someday return to how he used to be before his mother left.

Jeon Jin Seo will take on the role of Jeon Jung Kook, who, after growing up in an unstable home, has begun to question the purpose of life and the reason behind his own existence. The young actor shot to fame for his role as Lee Joon Young in the hit series "The World of the Married."

"We completed a lineup of young actors and rookies with fresh visuals that will maximize the charms of each individual character. Please look forward to that synergy," the "Youth" production team said in a statement, per Koreaboo.

"Youth," previously titled "Blue Sky," will be produced by Kim Jae Hong who earlier worked on "Steal Heart" and "The Light in Your Eyes." The drama will be penned by Kim Soo Jin, who also worked with Hong in "The Light in Your Eyes." Jin also wrote the script for the drama "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo."

The BTS Universe Drama "Youth" is expected to air in 2021, but its exact release date is yet to be confirmed.
