Caitlyn Jenner received flak on social media for supporting a bill that many deemed is unfairly targeting trans athletes.

Jenner was asked about the legislation prohibiting biological boys who are trans from playing girl sports in school. In her response, the trans and former Olympic gold medalist said she supports the bill.

"This is a question of fairness, that’s why I oppose biological boys, who are trans, competing in girls’ sports in school. It just isn’t fair and we have to protect girls’ sports in school," Jenner said.

However, Jenner's response irked the netizens. Many accused her of failing the LGBTQ+ community because of her stance that they deemed not fair to the trans community, which she supposedly represents.

"Caitlyn Jenner is no friend of the LGBTQ community. Don't call her an actvist. She's a menace," actor George Takei tweeted.

"A trans girl is a girl. A trans boy is a boy. Everyones built different no matter what gender you are. There [are] very small framed people and also larger framed muscular people all across the spectrum! STOP finding ways to delegitimize someone’s gender. SHAME ON U @Caitlyn_Jenner," Trinity The Tuck wrote.

"Caitlyn Jenner is classically uninformed, wildly privileged, and tragically self-hating. She can go protect the integrity of f---ing herself," writer and producer Shakina added.

"#CaitlynJenner is dangerous, egotistical, and needs to stfu," another netizen wrote.

Meanwhile, several also supported Jenner's stand on the issue. For them, they agreed that biological boys who are trans should not play against girls because they have an advantage in height, size and strength.

"Credit to you for being honest about this particular issue! We need to protect girls and women outside of sports, too," one commented.

"Males have naturally higher bone-density and their bone shape is a significant factor in a lot of sports, personally I think trans peoples should have their own sports column," a second user wrote.

"The mob is going to come for you. Stay strong and true because your position is one of basic decency," a third user added.

A fourth netizen supported Jenner's point by sharing a thread showing why it's unfair for males to compete against females in sports. The netizen also shared an infographic detailing how men are faster, stronger, taller and at an advantage over women in sports.

A fifth user agreed and said that the facts in the infographics remain true even after hormone treatment.
