Marvel fans have known for quite some time that Chadwick Boseman would bring the Black Panther to life in “Captain America: Civil War.” Now, newly leaked set photos from the German production of the upcoming superhero crossover event have finally revealed the new superheroes’ costume.

The images come courtesy of ComingSoon, which managed to snap a few shots from the set of “Captain America: Civil War” in Germany. The photos show the stunt doubles for Captain America (Chris Evans), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and T’Challa (Boseman). With the exception of Barnes, each performer is suited up in the heroes official uniform. While fans were treated to a look at Cap’s latest threads in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” this is the first time that anyone has laid eyes on the Back Panther’s super-powered costume.

As ScreenRant notes, when Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced their Phase 3 lineup for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in October, they debuted some concept art for the hero’s look. Now, given the set images of the character in action, it seems like the finished product didn’t stray too far from the concept art.

What’s more interesting in these leaked images than the reveal of Black Panther’s costume is what the character seems to be doing in the scene in question. The Black Panther appears to be associating with The Winter Soldier on a rooftop somewhere. It’s unclear if the new hero is helping the “Captain America 2” bad guy escape some unknown threat, if he’s trying to fight him or simply capture him.

Cap is there as well, getting into the action. However, it’s completely unclear who is going up against who in this three-hero mashup. Steve Rogers (Evans) made his allegiance to his friend pretty clear over the course of his last two Marvel appearances. Not to mention the very plot-heavy end-credits teaser that followed “Ant-Man.” In the scene, Bucky is trapped with his arm in a mechanical vice and it’s up to Cap and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) to help him escape. With the fate of Bucky’s good guy or bad guy status in question following the events of “The Winter Soldier,” it’s very hard to tell from leaked images like this exactly what his ties to Black Panther are or if he’s decided to turn on his best buddy Rogers.

You can check out the full collection of leaked set photos from “Captain America: Civil War” at ComingSoon. In the meantime, fans will likely only have to wait until Disney’s D23 expo in a few days where many believe that the first teaser footage for “Captain America: Civil War” will debut.

“Civil War” hits theaters May 6, 2016. The film will see other familiar faces such as Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Robert Downey Jr. Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd and Emily Van Camp reprise their roles from previous properties within the MCU. Boseman will debut as Black Panther in "Civil War" and then launch into his very own standalone movie in 2018.
