A reckless, four-legged driver of a car slammed into other vehicles at a Walmart parking lot in Kilgore, Texas. The incident occurred Thursday, according to Kilgore Police Department.

The police said they "apprehended a reckless driver today" and even though the situation doesn't sound "feasible" one of the victims confirmed they saw the suspect, which was a dog, moving toward him but he couldn't get out of the way in time, KLTV reported.

"He was shocked to see the driver was a dog!" the police said.

Officials said the dog was found sitting behind the wheel when the crash occurred. The animal was reportedly left alone in the car, waiting for his humans who were shopping inside. As is common with pets, the dog became impatient and jumped around a little, to keep himself entertained. In doing so, the vehicle was accidentally set into motion.

"KPD apprehended a reckless driver today after he ran into two cars in the parking lot [of] Walmart. Thankfully no one was injured in this crash. One of the victims saw the suspect [barreling] down on him but couldn't get out of the way. He was shocked to see the driver was a dog!" the police department shared in a statement on Facebook.

The post continued, "Yep, the pooch was actually behind the wheel when the crash occurred. The investigation revealed the dog was sitting in the unoccupied vehicle waiting on his humans while they shopped. He apparently got little antsy and bounced around the cab setting this truck in motion."

Explaining what might have caused the crash, the post stated, "The steering [column] had some prior damage and this pooch must have placed the vehicle in drive. He was also wearing a lease and it's believed he got that caught on the emergency brake and released it. It doesn't sound feasible but an eyewitness saw the pooch behind the wheel just before the crash. He certainly has a guilty look on his face."

In another incident involving a four-legged driver, an Israeli man was arrested after he posted a video of his dog getting behind the wheel of his car. "The suspect behaved in a reckless and improper manner when he let his dog hold onto the steering wheel, thereby endangering road users," the police reportedly said. "Whoever does such things is playing with human lives. We will continue to work to enforce and prosecute serious traffic violations."
